Consultation open – Draft Peripheral Venous Access Clinical Care Standard

16-Aug-2019

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) is seeking comments on the draft Peripheral Venous Access Clinical Care Standard. The draft was developed in collaboration with consumers, clinicians, researchers and healthcare organisations.

Clinical care standards can play an important role in guiding the delivery of appropriate care and reducing unwarranted variation, as they identify and define the care people should expect to be offered, regardless of where they are treated in Australia.

The Commission is seeking comments on the draft clinical care standard and associated resources until 11:59pm Sunday, 15 September 2019.

The draft Peripheral Venous Access Clinical Care Standard is available on the Commission’s website at: https://www.safetyandquality.gov.au/our-work/clinical-care-standards/current-consultations

Submissions can be made online or provided in writing.

If you have any queries about the consultation, please contact the Clinical Care Standards team by email at CCS@safetyandquality.gov.au
