March with ASMOF on May Day this Sunday, 7 May, Hyde Park North, Midday

We invite members and their families to join ASMOF in celebrating May Day this year.

May Day is a worldwide celebration of workers’ rights, with unionists taking to the streets to celebrate the labour movement, its values, victories and ongoing struggles. And ASMOF will be one of many unions proudly marching to mark the day.

This year’s May Day theme is about the growing inequality within our society and fighting for our rights at work including penalty rates.

Our march will be led by our children and grandchildren and there are special t-shirts for the kids to wear.

Following the march there we will a Free Family Picnic & Fun Day at Prince Alfred Park with free sausage sizzle, music, entertainment, free rides including dodgem cars, a giant slide, jumbo jumping castle, face painters, kids' activities and lots of union and community stalls.

it is going to be a great and enjoyable day for everyone.
