Nominate a JMO or Registrar Now

25-Jan-2013

Do you know a JMO or Registrar who deserves special recognition?

ASMOF and the AMA NSW are calling for nominations for the 2013:

* NSW Minister for Health/Investec Registrar of the Year Award
* NSW Minister for Health/Cutcher & Neale JMO of the Year Award

Each Award attracts a $10,000 cash prize and will be presented by the Minister for Health and Medical Research, at the Doctors-in-Training Black, Red & White Ball on 23 March 2013.  This year ASMOF will be a co-sponsor of the event, reflecting both our evolution into being the Doctors’ Union for all Doctors and our new collaboration with the AMA NSW designed to best advance the interests of Interns, Residents and Registrars.

The Registrar Award is open to Doctors who were Registrars in 2012.  The JMO Award is open to doctors who were PGY1 or PGY2 in 2012.

Nominations may be made by colleagues, supervisors, other hospital staff or members of the public.

The Awards afford an opportunity to recognise JMOs and Registrars who have excellent clinical skills, do voluntary or community work, provide support to colleagues and live up to the core values of collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.  If you have a colleague who fits this description then nominate them now via the below link.  (Note the AMA NSW are providing the administrative and operational support for the Ball and the receipt of nominations.  Accordingly, nominations should be directed via the link below.)

Nominations close Friday, 22 February 2013.
