NSW public sector 2.5% salary increases

To all members employed in NSW Health
Your 2.5% salary increase will be paid from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2017.

This year this will be actioned by way of a Determination under the Health Services Act.

This is because ASMOF and the HSU are in dispute with NSW Health before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission in relation to the argument form NSW Health that the Health Awards cannot be varied to continue to retain the existing redundancy clause. NSW Health argue that this would breach Section 146C of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 and Regulation 6(1)(f) of the Industrial Relations (Public Sector Conditions of Employment) Regulation 2014.

The matter has been listed for a half day hearing on 8 August.

To all members employed in the NSW Police Force
Members covered by the NSW Police – Crown Employees (Police Medical Officers - Clinical Forensic Medicine) (State) Award will also receive the increase in salaries and allowances of 2.5 form the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2017
