TEN - The Essential Network for Health Professionals

The Black Dog Institute has developed a program to support the mental health of front-line hospital staff such as doctors, nurses, allied health (pharmacists, physios, radiographers), and support staff (porters, cleaners, admin staff).

The program operates outside of Medicare and is entirely free of charge. TEN includes a self-assessment tool, online resources to be better able to self manage, access to psychiatry and psychology services as well as peer support.

TEN – The Essential Network is a multifaceted e-health hub

The website and mobile app developed by health professionals for health professionals as part of the Australian government’s COVID-19 response. It offers specialist, individualised mental health advice and triaged support to connect health workers to the help they need when they need it the most.

TEN is re-imagining mental health care for front-line workers

For the first time, leaders in mental health, public health, clinical peer support, and technology – Black Dog Institute, University of New South Wales, University of Melbourne, This Way Up, RANZCP, The Hand-n-Hand Network, APS and SAS– have joined together to take the guesswork and effort out of accessing mental health care for these essential workers.

TEN offers discrete and convenient access to support

The digital gateway gives you access to a network of support including:

  • self guided mental health screening
  • evidence-based tools and resources
  • peer support
  • digital mental health programs
  • connection to one-on-one clinical care.
