You're invited - Half a Million Steps Film Screening

Members are aware that ASMOF is a partner in the Fair Treatment campaign. We want to reduce the harm caused by personal use of illegal drugs by decriminalising personal possession and use of illegal drugs and increasing investment in evidence-based drug harm reduction and demand reduction strategies, like pill testing.

In June we invited members to attend the premier of Half A Million Steps the documentary of the journey of 100 people who walked 500,000 steps from Dubbo to Sydney to highlight the distance a person in regional NSW may have to travel to reach the drug treatment they need.

This is a powerful documentary by Uniting highlighting the personal stories behind the push for drug reform in NSW.

If you live in the Inner West of Sydney there will be another opportunity for you to see this amazing documentary.

The member for Summer Hill, Jo Haylen will be hosting a screening of the documentary on Thursday 22 August at the Petersham Bowling Club.

The documentary will be introduced by former ASMOF member and Medical Director at the Uniting Medically Supervised Injecting Centre Marianne Jauncey
