In December ASMOF met with the Ministry of Health and other unions to discuss our feedback on the draft social media policy. 

The draft policy was widely considered to be contentious, and unions agreed it was an over reach. There was significant disagreement between Unions and the Ministry, and we will be meeting again soon to discuss it further. 

In one positive sign, ASMOF concerns about exemptions for political commentary were heard by the Ministry, and we have assurances that the revised policy will make health workers right to make political comment clearer.
