Only fully financial members of ASMOF NSW can access the Travel Insurance
The following COVID cover applies to the ASMOF Travel policy:
Cancellation and Disruption (e.g. loss of deposit/cancellation and curtailment expenses)
The cover is provided for unforeseen expenses incurred before a journey if you contract COVID or are instructed by an authority to isolate and need to change/reschedule plans or be prevented from commencing that journey. The Insurer would expect that you approach the travel providers in the first instance to see if a refund/credit or change is available.
Similarly, while on a journey, the cover is provided for reasonable unbudgeted additional expenses if you contract COVID or have been directed by an authority to quarantine, causing a delay or interruption to your forward/return plans.
Medical, Evacuation and Additional Expenses (e.g. Overseas medical expenses)
The cover is provided for medical expenses incurred overseas should you contract COVID and require medical attention or hospitalisation.
For hospitalisation and/or emergency assistance overseas, financial members should contact Chubb using the details provided in the documents and information package via the ASMOF Member Services team.
Domestic travel medical expenses are claimable via Medicare and your private health insurance benefits.
The policy does not cover any loss or expenses incurred due to border closures, government-imposed lockdowns or lack of meeting any specific entry criteria.
Mandatory testing or other testing expenses which you require as part of your travel are not covered.
The maximum journey period is 90 days
A Policy excess of $250 applies in the event of a claim
Financial members should contact ASMOF Member Services at [email protected] or 9212 6900 for the travel insurance policy documents and general details of the cover provided.
This is a general summary only. You should read the Chubb Business Travel Insurance Policy Wording & Product Disclosure Statement for full coverage details.
